Garden walls can be constructed with a variety of stones and be either mortared or Dry Stacked. With Dry Stacked installation, gravity is used to hold the stones where with a mortar applied it acts as a glue to hold the stones. Based on the type of look, many times you won’t be able to tell the difference as seen below. True Dry Stack walls typically take more skill and take longer to construct but will typically last longer than mortared walls.
